HOW TO PACK FOOD WITH DRY ICE

  • Please ensure you’re handling the dry ice safely. See our precautions & handling page for details.
  • You need 5-10lbs of Dry Ice for each 24 hours of time needed to preserve food.
  • Place the dry ice on the bottom of the cooler/container.
  • Place frozen items inside, on top of dry ice.
  • Place more dry ice on top of the food.
  • Seal the cooler/container.
  • If you’re shipping, you must label the box that it contains dry ice.
  • If you’re transporting the container/cooler yourself, open a window for proper ventilation.
